Day 1 – Broome & Buccaneer Archipelago

We depart Broome’s Gantheaume Point at 7am, making our way to the luxury yacht Starsand on the tender.

After breakfast and a familiarisation with your new home-from-home, we adventure sail through the day and night to see sunrise over the Buccaneer archipelago.

For the salty dogs among us, there’s a chance to be part of the night watch.

Day 2 – Hidden Island & Myridi Bay

At Hidden Island, we’ll swim at the dazzlingly white Silica Beach before sailing on to Myridi Bay for our first overnight anchorage.

Day 3 – Horizontal Water Falls

We set sail for Talbot Bay to visit the stunning Horizontal Water Falls. A thrilling fast boat ride through the falls is an optional extra ($50 per person).

We’ll then take a scenic ride along Cyclone Creek, looking out for birds, turtles, sea snakes, rock wallabies and crocodiles. We anchor in Starsand Bay overnight.

Day 4 – Ancient Rock Art & Steep Island

At the top of Talbot Bay we’ll visit the beautiful Blue Holes hidden at Turtle Reef, before heading across Collier Bay and on to Raft Point.

Here there’s the chance to walk up the hill and look at some fine samples of ancient rock art, learning something about the native tradition and history behind Raft Point.

It makes a great overnight anchorage – sunset is spectacular on the red rocks of the Point and Steep Island across the bay.

Day 5 – Swim at Ruby Falls

About an hour’s sail across Doubtful Bay and up Red Cone Creek, we’re heading for one of the trip’s main highlights – a freshwater swim among the lily pads at one of the Kimberley’s best swimming holes, Ruby Falls.

It’s a short climb up the rocks to the freshwater stream which meanders through beautiful pandanas and other Kimberley flora.

We stay overnight here, out of harm’s way from the countless crocodiles who are fond of stalking the boat.

Day 6 – Cascading Montgomery Reef & Kingfisher Islands

Today we sail out to Montgomery Reef, 100 square miles of pristine reef system that emerges from the ocean at low tide.

Anchored in the cut, we’ll watch the water cascading off the reef. A ride in the tender will allow us to spot sea snakes, many turtles and a whole lot of marine life in the crystal clear water.

Back on Starsand, we’ll sail on for a swim at Kingfisher Islands, where we’ll anchor overnight.

Day 7 – Yampi Sound, Crocodile Creek & Silver Gull Creek

Watch the sunrise as we head for Yampi Sound. There’s great swimming at Crocodile Creek before lunch on the boat.

Then we’ll head for Silver Gull Creek to visit Squatters Arms, home of Phil and Marion. There’s a pool tank where the water is 32 degrees all year round and the views are magnificent!

Marion has a beautiful selection of jewellery, t-shirts and other paraphernalia at the most isolated gift shop in the world!

Day 8 – Starsand BBQ & Starsand Quiz Night

Day eight will find us sailing back to Talbot bay for last night BBQ day.

Dinner will be a great Starsand BBQ, followed by the world famous Starsand quiz night!

Day 9 – Final Day & Fond Farewells

The final day brings fond farewells, great memories and an exciting sea plane ride back to Broome.

Time to check-in and cross a few things off your bucket-list.
